Conference on Criminal Justice Monitoring and the Promotion of the Rule of Law Held in Dushanbe

On June 3, 2026, a conference was held in Dushanbe, organized by the Public Organization «Human Rights Centre» in collaboration with the International Partnership for Human Rights (IPHR). The event was conducted with the financial support of the European Union under the project “Supporting Civil Society Actions to Promote the Rule of Law for All in Tajikistan“.

The conference aimed to present and discuss criminal justice monitoring methodology as a tool for advancing justice system reform and strengthening the rule of law in the Republic of Tajikistan.

The event brought together representatives of government bodies, civil society and international organizations, the expert and academic communities, as well as media outlets.

During the conference, participants discussed approaches to criminal justice monitoring, current challenges in the area of human rights protection, and prospects for developing cooperation between state authorities and civil society institutions. Particular attention was given to promoting reforms grounded in international human rights standards and to the implementation of the National Human Rights Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period through 2038.

The conference served as an important platform for constructive dialogue and the exchange of experience on improving the justice system and protecting human rights in Tajikistan.
