Holistic Rehabilitation for Offenders in Penal System
The Conception of Holistic Rehabilitation in penal System was developed in 2020.
The document contains international standards for the Conception of Holistic Rehabilitation in penal System, including inter – disciplinary approaches, with cross – cutting issues of health – care in prison, psycho – social rehabilitation and aspects of criminology and crime prevention. The document also is based on overview of national legal frameworks and practice. Key principles of the holistic rehabilitation for prison based programmes are elaborated and specific recommendations for Tajikistan are added as well.
The Conception on Holistic Rehabilitation has been prepared within frameworks activities of the project “Assistance in Effective Management of Convicts of Crimes of a Terrorist and Extremist Nature” implemented by the NGO “Centre for Human Rights.
The project is the part of memorandum between the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe and the Main Directorate for Execution of Criminal Sentences of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan. Conception of Holistic Rehabilitation in penal System prepared by Dr. Mariam Jishkariani and Navruzova Parvina, based on Analytical Reports prepared by Makhmudov Rakhimjon and Mansurov Kholmukhamad national health and legal experts.
